#WoodAdvisor: Okoume (Aucoumea Klaineana)

Okoume wood is one of the most important wood species which replace the mahogany wood in furniture and moldings.

It's used for doors and windows, interior finishes and for construction's boats.

This wood is typical from Central Africa, particularly from Gabon.

Color: red rose inside and light grey outside.

Due to its excessive exploitation, it's a vulnerable wood as declared by the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature).
